PNW Boho Bride | Government Cove | Gorge Wedding

Any wedding set in the beautifully iconic Columbia River Gorge is one that we cannot wait to be a part of! Dalton & Kendell chose to have their wedding on an unconventional site: Government Cove. This was a privately owned peninsula in Cascade Locks, OR; the ultimate blank slate with an epic view.

We worked with Dalton & Kendell to source all of the necessary requirements to put together a successful and comfortable event such as generators for electricity, portable bathrooms for guests and vendors, and rentals that brought it all together. The day of their wedding came, and the unprecedented wind made it a little bit tricky to execute the setup, but we were up for the challenge! It took some flexibility in the design to accommodate the windiness, such as incorporating stones found on the site as part of the tablescapes to keep the linens from flying off, and instead of upright vases with arrangements, Alisha from For the Love of Floral was able to arrange the blooms in a garland fashion.

Everything ended up coming together wonderfully, and Dalton & Kendell had a quick ceremony, complete with high-fives post their first kiss as husband & wife. For the reception, we served the guests with "breakfast for dinner" & Dalton surprised his new bride with a song he’d written for her. The love in Kendell’s eyes was unparalleled as she watched her new husband serenade her with the sweetest words. After filling their bellies, guests spent the evening dancing away with the newlyweds, and to end the night, we all joined in to send Dalton & Kendell off with sparklers.
