Pacific City Wedding at Camp Clark

After having designed and planned weddings on remote plots of land, private estates, and even a 100 year old cattle ranch out in the middle of Oregon, it’s safe to say that we know a thing or two about planning weddings at unconventional venues or locations. While it’s not the easiest of feats, we’re always up for the challenge, and we always reassure our clients that nothing’s truly impossible – it just requires extra attention to detail, logistical planning, and flexibility with budgets. For this particular wedding, we took on the challenge of designing an elegant wedding at a Boy Scouts Camp just outside of Pacific City, Oregon, called Camp Clark.

Turning a campground into a beautiful wedding venue took a bit of imagination. We wanted to work with the existing structure to incorporate design details, so we chose to cover the bright red doors of the cafeteria with pipe and drape. This added softness and light to the otherwise warm-toned and wood room. We worked with the florist to incorporate greenery on the beams which brought in the nature feel from the outside in. The outdoor area had the perfect ocean backdrop for their ceremony, along with trails for guests to wander and explore. For those who wanted a place to land and enjoy the festivities from a comfortable seat, we created a lounge of soft seating.

Jordan and Parker reached out to us hoping to design and plan a special celebration of their love for one another, and to also celebrate their daughter turning one on their wedding day. Their day was filled with friends and family traveling to the Oregon Coast from all over, cheering them on as they joined their lives together, and dancing alongside them and their daughter to celebrate this monumental milestone in their lives.
